The Hospitalhof Stuttgart is a unique center for education and culture which welcomes 50,000 visitors each year. The ensemble, which includes a medieval church, a quiet garden, large lecture rooms and smaller group rooms, was built on the site of the city’s first and only monastery. Lectures, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, concerts – the Hospitalhof is a place where people come together.

From 2011 to 2013, the entire ensemble underwent a fundamental transformation. A two-phase competition culminated in a concept for the further development and realignment of the entire property. New buildings were erected for the event hall and for administration. The existing church was integrated into the overall concept and an underground car park was built.
