Besonderheit

The innovative IT campus of Europe's largest retail company sets new standards as a central location for IT employees. On a 15–16 hectare site in Bad Friedrichshall, a forward-thinking business campus is being developed, featuring modern offices, conference areas, an employee restaurant, a daycare center, and a fitness studio. The polygonal buildings surround a green central area and blend harmoniously into the natural landscape. Terraced parking levels offer spaces, mostly equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles, as well as bike racks.

The technical highlights of the project emphasize its technically advanced and sustainable character. Combined heat and power plants (CHP) ensure efficient heat and electricity generation, while waste heat is utilized for cooling through the use of absorption chillers. Large cisterns allow for the storage and use of rainwater, and the facades are designed to support hybrid ventilation. The sustainable energy concept is further complemented by the installation of photovoltaic systems, providing renewable electricity for the campus.

The completion of the first construction phase, which includes five buildings, is planned for 2026. A comprehensive mobility concept, focused on public transport as well as eco-friendly and electric mobility, ensures optimal connectivity for the campus.
