In Munich's Berg am Laim District, the urban office and commercial district “Die Macherei” serves as a creative hub. Around 70,000 m² of space for working environments, retail, catering, a design hotel and a two-story fitness studio characterize the innovative district.

The ensemble, consisting of six buildings, designed by three renowned architecture firms, is characterized by a contrasting and complementary forms and facades. The Macherei was the first building complex in Germany to be awarded the LEED GOLD sustainability certificate for urban district design. The use of ecological building materials and resources, as well as sustainable water & energy concepts were designed and implemented within the urban and interior quality.
