Besonderheit

Like a gigantic fossil, Hall 3, designed by British architect Nicholas Grimshaw, rises on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. Its organic shape gives the building its distinctiveness and uniqueness. The necessary technology was integrated by KBP into the roof structure in the form of 160-meter-long, curved bridges. These house the systems for ventilation, heating and cooling, lighting, sprinklers, and sound. To minimize ventilation installations, cooled air is introduced into the hall via induction units. Flexibly covered channels in the hall floor supply the exhibition areas with electricity, water/wastewater, compressed air, and gas.
